St Margaret’s Church Whaddon Gloucestershire | Cara & Mark’s Wedding
Cara & Mark are a lovely couple. Mark is one of the most smiley people I’ve met and his warm character shines through in the pictures. Cara made a beautiful bride, and looked very elegant throughout the whole day in her stunning flowing wedding dress. Her dad was clearly very proud of his beautiful daughter and I felt honoured to share their day with them.
The reception was held in Robinswood Hill Social Club, where Cara & Mark both play skittles and are involved in the committee. It’s a venue that’s very dear to their hearts, even more so now they’ve celebrated their wedding there. One fun idea they had was to give each guest an envelope containing a lottery scratch card to play before the meal. I even heard rumours of some guests winning four pounds or more!
St Margaret’s Church in Whaddon, dating back to the fourteenth century, is a very picturesque little church in Gloucestershire and is presided over by the Revd. Canon David Robert Smith. The service included lighting a candle together, which I don’t see very often at weddings and was a nice touch.
Its smaller size makes it perfect for a more intimate family wedding. Tucked away down a little lane, the secluded setting benefits from a beautiful weeping willow tree and quaint little archway, which are great for photos. It’s just a stones throw from Cara’s parents house making it the ideal location for their wedding.
I hope my pictures will bring back many happy memories of the day for years to come.
